Elemental planes and Denezins

Apart from the normal plane of existence in which we find ourselves,
there are many demiplanes. These alternate planes can be as vast as that
of our own and are often filled with native beasts. However, these planes
are so very different from our own that we often cannot exist within them.
Conversely, the beasts from these planes cannot survive long within our realm.

The greater a plane differs from our own, the more difficult it is to access.
Therefore it is that those most well known are the planes of the elemental
beings. As earth, air, water and fire all exist within our plane, so do they
exist within their own. The plane of death is also accessible, but to
venture there is, of course, immediate death.

Summoned beings brought from the elemental planes are much weaker than
within their native realms. This can be attributed to the presence of all
elements upon this world. As they all exist here, so does each balance the
others.

One must take great care when accessing elemental planes as some are
more hostile than others. Opening a gateway to the demiplane of lava will
most certainly end in tragedy. In contrast, the demiplane of wind is often
a pleasant trip as long as one keeps their wits about them.

Most summoners will study for decades before initially attempting a journey
to an alternate plane. Even then, not all return. Most travelers tell of
encouters with beings so foreign to us that they can be neither understood nor
trusted. Though the intentions of the beings may not be hostile, they are so
different from us that our interactions may only result in conflict.
