Races

Elf
Spirits from the meta planes came into the lands for purposes unknown and to do so, they needed to manifest themselves into corporeal forms. A few of those mist beings stayed behind and in time were the Elves. They are tall as most of the humans that now inhabit the lands and eerily beautiful in a most magical way. This strange folk are very attuned to forest living and love beauty in all it's forms; especially music and magic.

Dwarf
From the tracks of primitive beings they came and for reasons not recorde by history, they retreated to the mountains where they found precious minerals and started their trade of mining. Dwarves soon became masters of Smithery and Mechanics and after many a moon wokring in those trades they became a strong, pragmatic, taciturn and sturdy folk. Shorter than the average human by a head, they are still just as stout if not a bit sturdier.

Human
A different branch of primitive beings taller than the mountain beings that became Dwarf, came along and were noticed and favored by the spirits. The meta planes spirits found they needed and wanted to return to our world, so instead of materializing new bodies, they inhabited the form of this advancing being and gave birth to this new race. Because of the infusion of these arcane spirits that started the Elves long ago, the humans share a special kinship with their older brother race. They are now the most prevalent, most culturally influential and well rounded of the races and they are now known as Humans.

Half-Elf
The special kinship of Humans and Elves sometimes led to more amorous realtions resulting in children with both Human and Elven blood. The offspring of such unions have an ideal complement of a sturdier human build with the fair delicate looks of the Elves. Strong in both Human and Elven lore they are, and good with a song to boot!

Gnome
They are distantly related to the Dwarves, but are more attuned to the wilderness and love to dabble in magic and scholarly pursuits. They are more apt than their distant cousins the Dwarves, to be found in villages large and small. They seem to get along with most of the races and some infact, say that there may be an Elf or two behind the origination of Gnomes.

Hobbit
Sometimes known as "halflings", they are nimble and quick and can quickly maneouver in and out of most situations. They are one of the newer races who some say were smiled upon by the spirits and hold still a certian favor with them. Though they live quiet and simple lives, many feel endowed with special luck and charms when a Hobbit is in their adventure party, though Hobbits aren't particularly known to dabble in magery.

Half-Orc
Strong and resilient like their Orc parents, but unfortunately for them, not as fair of looks as Humans. Half-Orcs, like humans are very adept warriors and get about in most of the places traveled by Humans. Looks can differ widely as there is know genetic blueprint for these rugged beings that ever stays in tact. Some can pass for Human and some are uglier than a poxy Hog arse.

Saurians
The Saurian is a large, very strong humanoid reptile with a powerful tail, sharp claws and sharper teeth. They are part of a very ancient and outland race, whose elite warriors, the 'Red Claws' are in high demand as adventurers. Some say they are possibly the oldest of the World's descendants, while others think them a bad Arcanist expteriment.

Senrats
The Senrat, a very agile and acrobatic Man-Rat creature, has been around for a goodly while. They were once southern mainland fighters called Sentry Warriors, hence their chosen race name. In recent times, they have migrated to the North Lands and Islands, where most of them now remain. In the underground, they are at the heart of any rogueish activity in the realm.
